Virkon S ensures exceptional biosafety for both humans and animals, as well as the environment. Virkon S works effectively at low temperatures and in the presence of hard water. It is gentle on materials and biodegradable. The in-use solution of Virkon S is non-irritating to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes, and it is non-allergenic.
Properties / Effects
Virkon S is the only disinfectant proven effective against all 18 types of viruses known in humans and animals, all pathogenic bacteria commonly found in livestock and domestic animals, all significant bacteria in the food sector such as Salmonella, Listeria, and Campylobacter, all pathogenic fungi such as ringworm, Aspergillus, and Candida; yeasts, molds, and mycoplasmas.
Virkon S ensures virucidal, bactericidal, and fungicidal disinfection through lowering the pH of the environment and the potent peroxygen activity of potassium monopersulfate.
Use
Virkon S disinfects all surfaces in a single application: premises, stables, stalls, litter boxes, kennels, cages, aquariums, terrariums, consultation or grooming tables, instruments, equipment, utensils for food, textiles, cars, vans, etc.
Virkon S can be used on all materials and textiles. It does not irritate and is non-toxic. Virkon S can be applied using a sponge, mop, high-pressure pump, foam applicator, or fogger.
Instructions for use
Dissolve the required amount of Virkon S according to the dilution table in the corresponding amount of warm water. Wet all surfaces to be disinfected with the Virkon S solution and allow to dry (minimum contact time: 10 minutes). After disinfection, rinse metals with water.
Notes
The solution remains stable for 5 days: it has lost its effectiveness once the indicator has lost its pink color. Store tightly closed at temperatures below 25°C and dry (< 45% humidity), out of reach of children. Keep the desiccant sachet in the tablet packaging. Do not mix with other chemical products.
Skin irritant. May cause severe eye damage. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water and seek medical advice. Wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves, and goggles/mask. Harmful to aquatic organisms.
Contains dipotassium peroxodisulfate.
May trigger allergic reactions. Completely empty containers should be disposed of with household waste. Partially empty containers should be returned to the point of sale or taken to a collection center for hazardous waste.
